"June 2023, I joined One Fitness Horizon gym and Coach Darren Villanueva became my trainer. One of the best decisions I made. I don't have a, "before and after", post to prove the benefits of joining the gym. I only post the gym equipment I use through the guidance of my PT. A few of them I even call torture devices but I am so much fitter since I joined 6 months ago, that l often surprise myself.
I can now go through workout sessions without using my inhaler. I developed a discipline that I didn't think was possible. My stamina has increased, I am now stronger that I can lift a 180-pound tire flip, and I am not even 5 feet tall (not even 4'11"). I requested my PT to teach me kickboxing and it is truly enjoyable. I now have a deeper understanding on the science of exercising/working out, weightlifting, etc. I am grateful to my coach for all that I can achieve under his supervision. Coach Darren truly knows what he is doing, and he cares for his clients. He is very encouraging, pushing you to do your best, but will never force you to do anything that will compromise your safety. He knows when it's time to stop. Thank you Coach for inspiring me, and for making me realize that even at 50, I can do this. Thank you for your patience, specially during those times I would complain, and I would reply, "No", whenever you ask me, "Ready, Doc?"

"Before, because of my weight, I have been struggling to do my normal routines that gets me tired easily such as doing short walks or walking up stairs. Added to this is that I have asthma, where when I get tired, I'll have to rest for a while due to difficulty in breathing. And for my clothes, I always look for a plus size to fit my figure.
